Bath Thoughts, On The Year Past.

I just taught my last class of 2022. I feel more reflective than normal (some of you might laugh at that). But perhaps, it is because there is a moment within my personal world to truly have, and really feel, a deep breath.

And, Exhale.

I am actually in a bath (my 2nd bath of 2022!) writing this and feeling tremendous gratitude for the hundreds and hundreds of classes that it was my privilege to show up for this year.

They held a structure that kept me accountable with myself and my practice. The discipline of showing up, one day (think breath) at a time, is the foundation and my blue print for life.

No matter what, show up.

Show up when things are hard.

Show up when things feel easy.

Show up and be honest.

Show up and connect.

Show up and breathe.

Show up, as I am.

Show up and move my body.

Show up and become still.

Show up and see one another.

Show up and be of service.

Show up and ask to be a clear channel to help share this beautiful practice.

This is life. And, this life that is centered around a practice of loving kindness and truth, is one that I wouldn’t trade.

I am in awe and so very grateful to the other humans that also showed up this year. You inspire me daily. Thank you for BEing YOU.

It was a year I will never forget and one that I will say goodbye to with a larger than life exhale. The learning was intense and I will do my best to take all of it and hold it to the light for ongoing clarity.

I feel a very large amount of hope for the moments to come.

I feel a spark inside getting brighter.

This practice, in my opinion, is not about contorting our body into some kind of ‘shape’.

IT IS about ANY shape we are in (physically and beyond) and breathing until we experience the energy that IS (me, you and everything).

What a relief. I just need to BE me.

And me BEing me (and you BEing you) unlocks the powerful connection between all.

We have everything we need.

Just BE.

Be there for you.

Be there for each other.

Be there for the infinite love that is available.

Those are my thoughts, reflecting back to me, after the last class of 2022.

If you are around on Friday night, I’d love for you to join me online for a NEW YEARS Intention Setting Practice. It is a powerful way to reflect on the past, create hope for the future and arrive in the powerful NOW.  More info here.

If you aren’t available Friday night and want to do the ritual on your own, click here for a written out version that you can use.
