“Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet” ~ Honoring Thich Nhat Hanh

When you are washing the dishes,

Wash the dishes.

When you are brushing your teeth,

Brush your teeth.

When you are eating,

Eat.

When you are driving,

Drive.

When you are walking,

Walk.

It’s that simple.

When we are M I N D F U L, everything we do becomes infused with meaning and we experience more joy and relaxation.

Beloved Thich Nhat Hanh has passed peacefully at age 95.  His physical form may no longer be here, but his spirit lives in forever in the profound teachings he shared through his life.

When you are walking,

Walk.

“Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.”

One step at a time. How does it feel? What are you stepping on? Do you notice your heart beating? What does the air taste like? When you give your full presence to what you are doing, you will become AMAZED at what you are ACTUALLY doing and it propels you into BEING.

It is by being present, that we experience  B E I N G.

Breath goes IN.

Breath goes OUT.

As Thich Nhat Hanh said:

Inhale B E I N G.

Exhale P E A C E.

In the present moment, we ‘just let ourselves BE’.

We experience BEING.

The stories, thoughts, feelings, stress, fall away.

Love and Peace remain.

As we experience the simplicity of a single breath, a tender touch, or the way water feels on our skin, we are immersed in the present moment (infinite now) and the essence of our BEING (peace and love) is what we naturally being to share.

Exhale PEACE.

When we are stressed, typically we share stress.

When we tap into the present moment and let the stress fall away, we can share so much goodness.  Without even thinking, it happens naturally.  We radiate peace, joy and goodness and it ripples out into the world.

And, the PROFOUND part of this practice, is that it is SIMPLE.

When you are walking,

Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

When we practice mindfulness, you give yourself the gift of more joy, peace and relaxation.

And, the ENTIRE world benefits.

Infinite gratitude to the beloved teacher and activist, Thich Nhat Hanh.

May we honor your life, by honoring ours and the world.
